NASA Partners with SpaceX to Send Toyota to the Moon
NASA has tasked SpaceX and Blue Origin with transporting roving vehicles to the moon by 2032 as part of the Artemis program, but the rover itself, called the Lunar Cruiser, is being developed by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency and Toyota. This unpressurized rover is designed to carry two astronauts and over 1,000 pounds of cargo, aiding in lunar exploration and experiments. The mission aims to establish a permanent lunar residence near the South Pole, marking the first human moonwalk since the 1970s.
