Hong Extends Lead in Wisconsin Governor Primary, Poll Finds
Francesca Hong widened her lead in the Wisconsin Democratic gubernatorial primary according to a July 22–27 Marquette poll, with 38% of Democratic voters backing Hong, 16% Barnes, 7% Crowley, and the rest undecided (34%). When leaners are counted, Hong’s lead grows to 46% to Barnes 21%, Crowley 11%, Brennan 4%, Roys 4% and 14% truly undecided. Barnes leads as a second choice, Evers’ endorsement of Crowley has mixed impact, and age groups show older voters tilting toward Barnes while younger voters favor Hong. The Aug. 11 primary is approaching, with early voting underway and general election on Nov. 3.
