India pushes for global probe into Pak crackdown in PoJK as militants reportedly turn inward
India on Friday urged the international community to scrutinise Pakistan’s crackdown in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), accusing Islamabad of using “ruthless force” that has left about 40 civilians dead, while noting admissions that militants trained by Pakistan to target India have turned their guns inward. Delhi reaffirmed that the entire Jammu and Kashmir region is an integral part of India, and called for accountability from Pakistan, even as it highlighted a row over a New York Times headline describing PoK.
