White House Press Pool Boycott Leaves Trump Inaudible During Helipad Ceremony

The White House press pool suspended all TV coverage on September 21, 2026, in response to President Trump’s ban on CNN, MS NOW, and Politico. The move marks the first time in decades that major networks have collectively refused to cover a presidential event, highlighting the immediate consequences of the administration’s attempt to restrict media access.

However, Disney did give up several networks in exchange for strong rate increases for ESPN.
