Israel Takes Action to Censor Hezbollah-Linked Al Mayadeen News

Israel's Diplomatic-Security Cabinet has approved emergency action against the Lebanese Hezbollah-affiliated media outlet Al-Mayadeen, allowing Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi to order the closure of its offices in Israel and confiscation of its equipment. The move comes as part of efforts to block broadcasts that are seen as damaging national security and serving the interests of terrorist organizations. Karhi has also expressed a desire to shut down Qatari channel Al-Jazeera's activities in Israel, but the cabinet decision only pertained to Al-Mayadeen.
