
Miramar F-35 Crash: Pilot Ejected, Stable After Jet Goes Down Near Runway
An F-35B crashed near the flightline at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar; the pilot ejected and was transported to a local medical facility in stable condition for non-life-threatening injuries. The crash, which occurred around 10 a.m. near the base’s main hangars, is under investigation. The jet belonged to Marine Aircraft Group 11, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, at MCAS Miramar, a major F-35B base with a history of related incidents.
