New Directions Publishing Claims Second Consecutive Nobel Literature Prize
Anne Carson’s 2026 Nobel Prize in Literature marks the second consecutive year that New Directions Publishing has a laureate on its roster. The small press, which has produced 14 Nobel winners in its history, is credited with fostering the avant-garde style that defines Carson’s work, including her innovative book formats and classical translations.
