Brandram family deny Putney pusher link, blame police pressure for his death
The family of Nicholas Brandram say he was not the Putney pusher and that months of police scrutiny contributed to his death, noting there was no credible evidence placing him on Putney Bridge or linking him to the footage. Brandram had been arrested in June on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm and was later released under investigation before dying at home; the Met says the death is unexpected but not believed to be suspicious, while the family argues the investigation caused severe mental distress.
