
Navy Bets on Nuclear Trump-Class Battleship in 30-Year Fleet Plan
The Navy’s 30-year shipbuilding blueprint confirms a nuclear-powered Trump-class battleship intended to provide long endurance and high-volume fire support without serving as a destroyer replacement, with a planned 15 ships. The plan also advances medium unmanned surface vessels (MUSVs) acquisitions, sustains Ford-class aircraft carrier and DDG-51 production, and outlines decommissioning of aging submarines, carriers, and other warships in the coming years.
