Mitsubishi Revives Pajero Flagship with New Diesel SUV for Global Launch
Mitsubishi Motors has unveiled the fifth-generation Pajero, reviving the iconic off-road SUV after a seven-year hiatus. The new model, built in Thailand, features a 2.4-liter turbo-diesel engine, a ladder-frame chassis, and seven driving modes. It is positioned as the company's flagship vehicle to drive growth through fiscal 2029, with sales starting in Japan, Thailand, and Australia by March 2027, followed by expansion to approximately 100 countries. The vehicle retains heritage design cues like the triple-gauge display while adding modern safety and comfort features.
