Medieval Pilgrim's Badge Unveils Winged 'Basilisk' in Poland

The badge, made of lead alloyed with tin, is less than 0.04 inches thick and a bit over 1 inch across. Pilgrim badges were worn by medieval Christian pilgrims to signify their visits to holy places and protect them during their travels.
