"PNM Settles, Customers to Receive $115M in Credits"
PNM customers will receive a credit of about $9 per month for the next year as part of a settlement related to the closure of the San Juan Generating Station. The settlement includes $115 million in rate credits, benefiting both residential and business customers. The attorney general emphasized the importance of these credits, particularly for those on fixed incomes, as every reduction in costs makes a difference when it comes to paying electricity bills. The settlement also establishes a cap on the amount PNM can charge customers for financing associated with the plant's closure.
