Sony’s PS6 Handheld: 540p Base Rendering with PSSR 3.0 Aims for PS5 Pro‑level Power
Leak claims Sony’s PS6 handheld, codenamed Project Canis (PSP 3), uses a 3nm AMD APU with six Zen 6 cores, 24GB shared LPDDR5X and 15–25W TDP, plus 16 RDNA 5 CUs. In mobile mode it delivers about 4.9 TFLOPS (1.2 GHz) and up to ~6.75 TFLOPS docked; PSSR 3.0 upscales a native 540p rendering to 1080p and adds frame generation, giving an effective ~10–11 TFLOPS mobile and ~14 TFLOPS docked—nearly matching PS5 Pro’s 16.7 TFLOPS. Sony is aiming for a late-2027 launch, though it’s unclear if this is tied to a PS6 release.
