Family Warned Authorities Ahead of USF Doctoral Students’ Slayings
Ahmad Abugharbieh, the brother of homicide suspect Hisham Abugharbieh, says the family had previously warned police about his brother’s erratic behavior as Hisham faces two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of USF doctoral students Zamil Limon and Nahida Bristy. Limon’s body was found first, with Bristy’s remains found nearby later. The family had filed protective orders against Hisham in 2023 (granted) and 2025 (denied).
