Puerto Rico Hunters Capture Record 18-Foot Reticulated Python After Pet Cat Incident
A professional python hunter and his team captured an 18-foot, 4-inch reticulated python in Puerto Rico, marking the largest live capture of the species on the island. The snake was located after being seen strangling a pet cat, and its removal is cited as a critical step in protecting the local ecosystem from invasive apex predators.
