"PG&E's Emergency Power Shutoffs Threaten 4,200 Northern California Customers"
Pacific Gas and Electric Co. (PG&E) has issued a warning that it may cut power for approximately 4,200 customers in parts of Northern California to prevent potential wildfires due to dry and windy weather conditions. The majority of those affected would be in Tehama and Shasta counties. The decision is based on a forecast of northerly wind gusts that could enhance fire conditions in the Sacramento Valley. PG&E last implemented a Public Safety Power Shutoffs program in August for around 8,400 customers.
