Apple's Rapid Security Response: Emergency Updates for Exploited Vulnerabilities
Apple released a Rapid Security Response update to patch an actively exploited WebKit bug, but quickly pulled it after users reported issues accessing certain websites like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Zoom. The update can be easily removed, and while Rapid Security Response updates are quick to install, they may not be as thoroughly tested as other system updates. WebKit vulnerabilities in iOS are particularly severe as they affect any app that renders web content. Apple plans to release new updates soon to resolve the issues.
