RedOctane has regrouped to release Stage Tour, a new plastic-instrument rhythm game for PC and consoles this fall, promising new features, modes, and live events built around familiar guitar/bass/drums/vocals peripherals.
Stage Tour, a Rock Band–style rhythm game from RedOctane formed by original Guitar Hero developers, was announced at IGN Fan Fest 2026. It will support keyboards, controllers, and plastic instruments, with Gibson-branded in-game guitars, and adaptive note charts based on difficulty and input. Alpha testing starts this summer ahead of a fall release on PC and multiple consoles.
Veteran developers from the original Guitar Hero series have founded a new studio, RedOctane, within Embracer Group, to create innovative rhythm games that focus on community and modern gaming experiences, with an announcement expected later this year.
