French Open players plan media protest to demand bigger prize share
Top players at Roland Garros are planning to limit media appearances before the tournament to protest what they say is a shrinking share of prize money, claiming the 2026 share (about 14.3%) is far below the 22% sought and well short of the share at other majors, despite an overall prize‑money boost. The FFT says it supports dialogue and has increased prize money, but players are pushing for governance reforms and better protections and representation across the four Grand Slams.
