Amy Adams Rescued a Stabbing Victim Using TV Nurse Skills
Actress Amy Adams said on the Smartless podcast that she and her family were the first on the scene of a stabbing in Santa Monica, using bleeding-control techniques she learned while portraying a nurse on the short-lived CBS drama Dr. Vegas; she applied pressure with towels and told the victim to lie down to slow the bleeding, and later reconnected with him about a year after the incident.
