Flyers Sign Michael Bunting to Address Offensive Drought

The Philadelphia Flyers signed veteran winger Michael Bunting to a one-year, $1.2 million contract on October 6, 2026, following a 0-2-2 start to the season. The move aims to inject energy into a forward line that has scored only three goals in four games. To accommodate the signing, the team sent young winger Alex Bump to the AHL affiliate Lehigh Valley. Bunting, 31, joins as the Flyers' seventh NHL team, with his debut expected after a brief adjustment period.
