Ferrari's new prototype, the 499P Hypercar, driven by Antonio Fuoco, secured pole position for the Sebring 1000 Miles race, beating the race-favorite Toyotas. The car's unique sound, more like a spaceship than a gasoline-powered race car, is due to its hybrid system and complex drivetrain packaging. The car's twin-turbo V6 produces a combined 670 horsepower, with approximately 268 coming from the electric motor alone. The Sebring 1000 Miles race starts on March 18th.
