
Saqqara tomb of Old Kingdom official who kept royal decrees unearthed
Archaeologists in Saqqara uncovered the tomb of Sekhentio-Ptah, an Old Kingdom official described as the keeper of royal decrees, which also yielded an offering table, two false doors, more than 100 shabtis, a wooden falcon statue and cartonnage; the tomb shows signs of later reuse, and the mummy has not yet been identified.
