The presence of Hamas leaders at the rally drew criticism from the state president of the BJP, who labeled it alarming and glorification of a terrorist organization. However, the organizers defended the presence, stating that Hamas is a resistance movement and not banned in India. They vowed to continue similar programs against the Hindutva-Zionist alliance.
