Steamboat measles exposure triggers public health alert
Colorado's CDPHE issued a measles exposure alert after an unvaccinated out-of-state traveler was traced to the La Quinta Inn in Steamboat Springs (Sept. 18, 9 a.m.–2:30 p.m.), with another exposure at Denver's Union Station (Tuesday, 6–9 p.m.). Exposed individuals should monitor for symptoms through Oct. 7 (Steamboat) or Oct. 6 (Union Station). Vaccination within 72 hours of exposure and immunoglobulin within six days may prevent or lessen illness; updates are posted on the CDPHE site, and those with symptoms should call 720-653-3369.
