Norwegian Billionaires Flock to Switzerland for Tax Relief
Dozens of wealthy Norwegians, worth over $4.4 billion, have relocated to Switzerland to escape higher wealth taxes implemented by the Norwegian government. The tax increase, from 0.85% to 1.1%, prompted approximately 65 affluent individuals to move to Switzerland over the course of a year. Switzerland's status as a tax haven and its lower tax rates have made it an attractive destination for wealthy individuals seeking to minimize their tax liabilities.
