Aggies Legend Keith Mitchell Passes Away, Leaving a Defensive Legacy

Texas A&M Athletics Hall of Famer Keith Mitchell, a standout linebacker who helped the Aggies win the 1993 Southwest Conference title and go 10-0-1 in 1994, has died. A four-year letterman (1993-96), he earned All-SWC in 1995 and All-Big 12/All-America honors in 1996, finished with 34 career sacks (fourth all-time) and 14.5 sacks in 1996, was inducted into the Texas A&M Athletics Hall of Fame in 2015, and later played seven NFL seasons (Saints, Texans, Jaguars), earning Pro Bowl honors after the 2000 season.
