Jewish Greens Chair Threatens Exit Over Party's 'Zionism is Racism' Policy
Vivien Lichtenstein, chair of Jewish Greens, stated she may leave the UK Green Party after members adopted a motion declaring Zionism a form of racism. The motion, which passed by 1,022 votes to 813, also supports a single democratic Palestinian state. Lichtenstein criticized the policy as unhelpful to Palestinians and noted that proposers failed to consult Jewish Greens. The decision has caused internal division, with leader Zack Polanski opposing the final wording and Israel banning him from entry.
