High Court Rules Against Prince Harry in Privacy Suit vs Daily Mail Publisher
The Duke of Sussex and other claimants lost their High Court privacy case against Associated Newspapers, publisher of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday. In a 436-page ruling, Judge Nicklin found the allegations of unlawful information gathering were not proven and that the claimants failed to show information had been obtained unlawfully or that such activity was widespread. The publisher called the decision an “overwhelming victory,” while Harry and Baroness Lawrence described the outcome as a whitewash. A subsequent hearing is expected later in July as part of ongoing litigation over press intrusion.
