Chester Zoo Confirms First Wasp Spider Sighting in North West England
Chester Zoo announced the first recorded sighting of a wasp spider in North West England. The large, black-and-yellow arachnid, nicknamed Wendy, was found on the zoo's estate during a biodiversity survey. Conservationists believe this migration from southern England indicates the effects of climate change on UK wildlife, while emphasizing that the spider poses no threat to humans.
