"Dodge Charger: Embracing the Electric Era with EV and Gas-Powered Muscle"

Dodge announced the next-generation Dodge Charger as both an all-electric vehicle (EV) and a gas-powered muscle car, aiming to cater to traditional gearhead enthusiasts while embracing the future of electric vehicles. The 2024 Charger EV, known as the Daytona, is expected to have up to 670 horsepower and 627 foot-pounds of peak torque, with a 0-60 mph time of 3.3 seconds. The gas-powered Chargers will feature a new inline-six engine and are expected to go on sale in 2025. The new models are part of Stellantis' plan to move towards electrified and more efficient propulsion systems, with the Charger EV set to be produced at a Stellantis assembly plant in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
