Investors Analyze Potential for Higher Fed Rates, Treasury Yields Rise

US Treasury yields rose as investors assessed the likelihood of higher Federal Reserve interest rates. The Fed is continuing to tackle inflation and the aftermath of banking collapses that caused turmoil in the bond markets in recent weeks. The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland President Loretta Mester said that the central bank needed to raise rates to address inflation. Investors are also looking ahead to the non-farm payrolls data set, due out for release Friday.
