Ford’s Budget-Friendly Fathom EV Pickup Takes Shape for 2027

Ford rolled out two camouflaged Fathom electric pickup prototypes in Las Vegas, revealing a Maverick-sized, sub-$30K truck that will start orders in 2027. The Fathom will ride Ford’s new Universal EV Platform, offer a $29,945 price (including destination), BlueCruise, bidirectional power, wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, a digital key, and Apple Maps, with production at Louisville beginning in early 2027 after a plant transformation. Prototypes have undergone hot-weather testing as Ford tees up the launch.
