Aurora Borealis Expected to Light Up U.S. Skies This Week

The northern lights, or aurora borealis, may be visible over northern Michigan and other parts of the US on Wednesday night due to a geomagnetic storm caused by a coronal mass ejection from the sun. The storm is rated as a moderate G2 event and may cause disruptions to technology, but is not expected to be severe. The northern lights may also be visible on Thursday and Friday. To view the aurora, it is best to go out at night and get away from city lights, with the best viewing time being within an hour or two of midnight.
