A potent storm system is expected to hit Minnesota, bringing a mix of rain, ice, snow, and thunderstorms that could produce severe weather in southern parts of the state on Friday. The freezing line will hover around and north of the Twin Cities, resulting in a mix of precipitation that could transition from snow to rain and back to snow.
