Snowy Weekend Ahead for Illinois

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for parts of northern Illinois, including DeKalb, Kane, Kendall, LaSalle, and McHenry counties, with up to 3 inches of snow expected. Snowfall is predicted to start between 1 and 8 a.m. on Sunday, with snowfall rates of up to half an inch per hour. Slick and hazardous travel conditions are anticipated, and unseasonably cold temperatures will continue into early next week.
