Stormy Weekend Ahead: Severe Thunderstorms and Possible Snowflakes Expected.

A strong storm system is expected to move through central and eastern Kansas this afternoon and evening, bringing the chance of strong to severe storms with large hail and damaging winds as the primary concern. An isolated brief tornado cannot be ruled out. A cold front will then move south through the state, bringing more storms and showers from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday. The weekend will see cooler temperatures on Saturday, with highs in the 50s, but warmer temperatures in the 60s and 70s on Sunday and into the work week next week.
