Weekend Weather: Scattered Showers and Storms Possible

Minnesota and western Wisconsin are expected to experience showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening as a low-pressure system moves eastward from South Dakota. There is a slight risk of severe weather in southern Minnesota and a marginal risk in a broad section of Minnesota and parts of western Wisconsin. Wrap-around moisture will keep the chance of occasional showers in the forecast on Sunday, with Monday looking mainly dry. Highs will range from the 60s to 80s in Minnesota and western Wisconsin, with some spots in western Wisconsin touching 90. The Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to be around 80 degrees on Monday, followed by lower 80s Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and around 80 on Friday.
