The 2024 solar eclipse will be visible across North America today, with the path of totality starting in Mexico and crossing over the U.S.-Mexico border into Texas before moving through several states and reaching Canada. The eclipse will start at different times depending on the location, with peak totality lasting between 3.5 and 4 minutes in most places along the path. Outside the path of totality, viewers will still be able to see a partial eclipse. The eclipse will last for about 5 hours in total, with the longest stretch of totality being 4 minutes and 28 seconds.
