First temperature measurement of rocky exoplanet using Webb telescope.

The James Webb Space Telescope has measured the temperature of Trappist-1b, a rocky exoplanet, for the first time, finding that it most likely lacks an atmosphere. The planet's dayside temperature was determined to be 230 degrees Celsius, and the heat was not redistributed throughout the planet, indicating little or no atmosphere. Trappist-1b is too close to its star to be habitable, but other planets in the Trappist-1 system are thought to be in the "goldilocks zone" and could potentially support life.
