The full strawberry moon will peak at 11:42 p.m. eastern time on Saturday night, but will appear full through Monday. The name comes from the juicy berries in season right now. Late evening skies may be cluttered by cloud debris from the large number of thunderstorms ongoing across the country. Other celestial events to catch this month include Jupiter in conjunction with a crescent moon just before dawn on June 14, Venus, Mars and the crescent moon forming a triangle on June 21, and the Big Dipper shining brightly in the northwest part of the sky all month.
