"James Webb Telescope: Life May Have Emerged Earlier Than Believed"

Recent findings from the James Webb Space Telescope suggest that oxygen was abundant in the early Universe, indicating that life's essential elements may have been present much earlier than previously thought. The study, led by Kimihiko Nakajima, used JWST data to measure oxygen in 138 galaxies from the first 2 billion years of the Universe, revealing a rapid increase in oxygen content much earlier than expected. This discovery opens the possibility that with necessary ingredients like oxygen readily available in the early Universe, life may have appeared sooner than previously believed.
