"Remarkable Binary System: Stars So Close They Fit Inside Our Sun"

Astrophysicists have discovered a binary system, named ZTF J2020+5033, consisting of a brown dwarf and a red dwarf that are so small and close together they could fit inside the sun. The brown dwarf is larger than typical for its category, while the red dwarf is smaller. The system is considered very close to Earth at approximately 457 light-years away. The two stars have the closest orbit ever recorded for a brown dwarf, spinning around each other in a 1.9-hour orbit. The researchers believe that studying this binary system will provide valuable insights into brown dwarfs and red dwarfs, as well as the formation and evolution of such systems.
