"Your Guide to Witnessing the Spectacular 2023 Summer Meteor Showers"

Amateur astronomers are encouraged to look beyond the popular Perseid meteor shower and explore six lesser-known meteor showers that will peak between July 26 and August 17, 2023. These showers include the Capricornids, Delta Aquarids, Piscis Austrinids, Alpha Capricornids, Iota Aquarids, and Kappa Cygnids. While some showers may be affected by moonlight, others offer a good opportunity for observation. The Perseids, in particular, are expected to be especially good this year, with minimal moon interference and a potential interaction with Earth on August 13.
