Preserving Dark Skies: Michigan and Utah's Efforts

DarkSky Michigan, the official Michigan chapter of DarkSky International, aims to be a statewide resource for night sky conservation, education, and advocacy. With the increasing prevalence of artificial light, finding areas with dark skies for stargazing has become challenging. DarkSky Michigan plans to create a network of dark-sky projects, provide resources for dark-sky conservation, and assist communities in applying for dark-sky designations. The organization aims to protect the ecological and biological benefits of dark skies and promote dark-sky tourism in Michigan.
