"Discovery of Titanosaur Species in China"

Paleontologists in China have discovered fossil fragments of a new titanosaurian sauropod dinosaur species, Jiangxititan ganzhouensis, which lived during the Late Cretaceous period. The partial skeleton was found in the Nanxiong Formation in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi province, and represents the second sauropod species from this area. The discovery increases the diversity of titanosaurians in Asia and sheds light on the presence of both early-diverging and late-diverging titanosauriform sauropods in the Late Cretaceous Ganzhou dinosaur fauna.
