Scientists have discovered the fossil remains of a massive long-necked dinosaur, named Garumbatitan morellensis, in Spain. The sauropod fossil, belonging to the Titanosaur subgroup, was found during excavations between 2005 and 2008. The discovery includes the remains of three individuals, including massive vertebrae, leg bones, and two near-complete sets of foot bones. These fossils date back to the Lower Cretaceous period, providing insights into the evolution of these gigantic dinosaurs. The finding suggests that Europe may have been the original habitat for these long-necked dinosaurs.
