NASA's Curiosity rover conquers Mars' steepest climb, paving the way for life exploration

NASA's Curiosity rover is celebrating its 11th year on Mars by continuing its exploration of the Red Planet. The rover is currently navigating the challenging terrain of the foothills of Mount Sharp, a 3-mile-tall mountain that was once home to lakes and rivers. Recently, Curiosity faced its toughest climb yet, a steep 23-degree slope covered in slippery sand and rocks. After encountering difficulties and making detours, the rover successfully crested the slope and gained access to an intriguing location called "Jau." Curiosity is now continuing its ascent of Mount Sharp to explore new areas of interest.
