"Perseverance Rover Explores 'Jurabi Point' on Mars"

NASA's Perseverance rover is preparing to head to Jurabi Point, a geological junction on Mars, where it will investigate the intersection of boulder-rich geology, sedimentary rock, and margin rock. This area is of great interest to researchers as it could provide insights into the relative ages of these geological features. Perseverance may also have another opportunity to drill a Martian boulder at Jurabi Point. This mission is part of the Margin Campaign, which aims to explore the outer edge of Jezero crater and examine the carbonate material there for signs of past life. Before reaching Jurabi Point, Perseverance will complete an investigation of curved rocks at its current location.
