Newly Discovered Winged Creature with Pink Eyes Unveiled at Greek Chapel

A scientist in Greece has discovered a new species of pink-eyed cricket, named Eupholidoptera kekrops or the Cecrops bush-cricket, after encountering it in 2013 and finally identifying it in 2017. These small crickets with pink eyes and a green body have been found in the region of Attiki near Athens and on the eastern slopes of Mount Hymettus. The discovery adds to the thousands of new species found each year, and the new species was named after the mythical first king of Attiki and founder of the city of Athens.
